THINGS TO CONSIDER: You are a genetic counselor. Your clients are couples who, prior to deciding to have children, would like information about the probability of the inheritance of a genetic disorder to their child. You will analyze the couple’s genetic profiles and determine the likelihood that they would conceive a child with the genetic disorder in question. You will write a report for the couple in which you will include: · An explanation of the chromosome and gene that is involved · An explanation of how the disease passes from one generation to the next generation (identify the specific type of inheritance as: dominant, recessive, incomplete dominance, multiple alleles, codominance, or random mutation · the probability of having a child with the disorder · a Punnett square diagram · a family pedigree The report should be well organized and professionally written; however, the language of the report will need be understood by people with little background in genetics.
